SpecFit™ by STI ("SpecFit") is a solution-assistance tool designed to help users identify potentially applicable STI firestop systems and solutions based on the information, specification, requirements, and other details provided by you, the user. SpecFit is intended for use by building, design, construction, and firestop professionals for business purposes. Results generated are limited by the information input from you and the capabilities of SpecFit. Results generated by SpecFit are suggestions only and do not constitute engineering approval, certification, determination, or guarantee that a particular system is suitable for a specific application, meets all applicable requirements, or will achieve a particular result or purpose.
User RespnsibilitiesYou are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of the information you provide.
You acknowledge that inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misunderstood information may affect the accuracy and suitability of SpecFit's results.
STI is not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccurate information provided by you, or for the improper selection, interpretation, modification, or installation of a suggested system.
You are responsible for verifying that actual field conditions conform to the requirements and limitations of the selected, tested, and listed system or other applicable STI documentation. Tested and listed systems are subject to the published listing and the requirements of the applicable testing or listing agency. If SpecFit's results differ from a published listing, the published listing controls.
You are responsible for compliance with applicable building codes, fire codes, and other laws, and for obtaining any required approval from the authority having jurisdiction.
Where a suitable system cannot be identified, conditions differ from the suggested solution, or additional guidance is required, SpecFit enables users to submit the application directly to STI Engineering for review. Any review, engineering judgment, or other response provided by STI Engineering is governed by STI's engineering judgment terms / the terms stated in that response and not by these Terms. Submitting an application does not obligate STI to provide a solution.
You are responsible for independently evaluating SpecFit's suggested solutions and determining whether any suggested product, system, or solution is appropriate for your intended use.
Before purchasing, installing, implementing, or relying on any recommendation, you should independently verify applicable specifications, compatibility, performance requirements, safety considerations, regulatory requirements, and other relevant factors.
You agree not to use SpecFit for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that interferes with its operation or compromises its security.

SpecFit may not identify every potentially applicable product, system, or solution, and its recommendations may not account for every relevant condition, constraint, or requirement.
STI does not guarantee that any recommendation is correct, current, compatible with other products or systems, or suitable for your particular circumstances.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, SpecFit does not provide engineering, architectural, code-compliance, safety, or other professional advice.
You should consult qualified professionals where appropriate before making decisions or taking action based on SpecFit's results.
