It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the passing of Kelly Mason. Please see his obituary below.
Kelly was an amazing person who did wonders for STI and is leaving many fans and friends behind, starting with me. He really played a significant role at every stage of our growth, particularly over the last 15 years or so in the healthcare vertical. He not only became the voice of STI, but, more importantly, a highly knowledgeable and respected expert on firestopping matters and beyond.
Those of us who knew Kelly will also remember him as a man of many talents. His singing was legendary, as were his jokes and teases. His level headedness hid a strong drive to excel and to win – which he did over and over again, as he mentored top teams in and out of STI.
We will miss Kelly a lot, but he leaves behind a strong legacy.
There will be more to follow, but for now, please pray that God receives his soul in His loving arms, and gives his wife Sue and his sons Brandon, Cameron (one of our colleagues) and Dylan, and their families, the strength to let him go free, and conviction that Kelly will always be with them. To all of them, our deepest condolences.
