An Evaluation Service Report (ESR) was recently issued by UL® for our EZ-Path® Fire-Rated Pathways confirming code compliance with the International Building Code® (IBC), International Fire Code® (IFC), and NFPA 101, “LifeSafety Code®” (LSC). The report goes on to confirm that, when properly installed, the device is exempt from ongoing maintenance.
Only EZ-Path® Pathways Are Maintenance-Free.
EZ-Path® Fire-Rated Pathways are the only self-sealing fire and smoke devices that are exempt from maintenance requirements.* EZ-Path® Pathways have no moving parts and require no action to activate the internal sealing mechanism, making them the only rated firestop device that are compliant right out of the box.
Only EZ-Path® Are Always Compliant.
EZ-Path® Fire-Rated Pathways are fully fire and smoke compliant with IBC, IFC & NFPA 101. Once installed, they provide a totally sustainable, fully compliant cable management solution for the lifecycle of the building.
Only EZ-Path® Pathways Minimize the Spread of HAI’s.
In the healthcare physical environment, EZ-Path® Fire-Rated Pathways can help minimize the spread of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI’s). EZ-Path® Fire-Rated Pathways let you remotely pull cables through multiple barriers at once, decreasing the number of times the occupied space is exposed to potential pathogens. Since they also require no ongoing maintenance, they can help limit liability by reducing unnecessary trips above the drop ceiling or in concealed spaces where pathogens can become airborne.
*The UL® Evaluation Service Report (ESR) for EZ-Path confirms the maintenance-free nature of the product by clearly stating, “The EZ-Path® Series 22, 33, and 44+ Fire-Rated Pathways do not require regular maintenance when properly installed as outlined above. Each device remains maintenance-free following installation, aside from any necessary repairs due to damage or alteration to the device.”
