FIT 2 (Virtual)

November 14th - November 15th

Firestopping is a topic of great interest to contractors and facility engineering professionals, particularly since fire and smoke barriers are constantly being breeched with new services or cable changes for voice and data systems in modern facilities. With proper planning and training, the firestopping process is greatly simplified, costs are reduced, and facility owners are provided with code-compliant firestop systems, thereby enhancing life safety and property protection.

This comprehensive, competency-based course is designed to educate and train participants in the fundamentals needed to become a resident firestop specialist. The goal is to equip the participant with the knowledge and tools needed to return home and serve as a resident expert in confirming whether or not firestop installations are code compliant.

This course is non-proprietary to specific brands and as such is accredited with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for 8 LU/HSW credits, 6 BICSI CECs and will be delivered in 8 hours over 2 days. For additional information, click here.

When registering, please make sure to use your own email address for future correspondence from STI’s Training Department.
